We expect a perfect family, a perfect employer, perfect neighbour, perfect friends, perfect husband, perfect wife, perfect son, son-in-law, daughter, daughter-in-law.. and the list goes on… phew!
At best ‘Perfection’ could be closest approximation of an ideal state. Much of the pain and stress in this world would vanish if we come to terms with the fact that perfection is redundant. We don’t really need things (and ourselves) to be perfect, all we need is a ‘workable’ state of affair.
Think of it, isn’t the thought of not carrying expectations of being perfect liberating? It takes tonnes of tightness (read stress) off our chest. Once you accept this, you are ready for being the “Awesome You” that you were born to be!
